Hematite and cloisonne necklace with pendant

by on Sunday, November 27th, 2011

I have seen many versions of necklaces with hematite heart pendants like this one, and here is a version of my own made with hematite lantern-shaped beads and green cloisonne beads.

The cloisonne beads I have had lying around for some time without using, but the hematite beads I found at Syfestivalen in Älvsjö this spring, and the heart pendant I bought from one of the online shops I frequent every now and then. The pattern  is simple, yet elegant and I really like the result.

Blue and gold dice necklace

by on Monday, August 16th, 2010

These blue and gold dice beads have been lying around waiting to be used for some time now. I bought them because I thought they were kind of cute, but then I didn’t get around to actually using them until recently when I was trying to figure out what to do with some other left-over beads.

This is the result, a combination of round and dice-shaped blue and gold glass beads, small tube-shaped gold colored spacer beads, round dark blue glass beads and gold-sand beads, round blue cloisonne beads, and some rectangular lapiz lazuli beads. The beads I had were just enough to make this necklace and a matching bracelet, but I only have pictures of the necklace.

The round and dice-shaped beads are not quite as transparent when you look at them in normal light, but I like the way the flash lights them up in these pictures.

Seed bead necklace and bracelet with snowflake charms

by on Saturday, August 15th, 2009

This is a necklace and bracelet made of black and silver-lined crystal twisted bugle beads and seed beads, small black glass cubes, black cloisonne beads, small round metal beads, and metal snowflake charms.

Several people have been interested in this design and I have made at least three copies of this necklace and bracelet, two with the snowflake charms and one with small flower charms instead. I do not think I have any of them left, but I might make another one some day.

Blue heart pendant with angel

by on Saturday, August 8th, 2009

In some cases, I have made more than one copy or version of the same necklace. For example this one.

I found this lovely blue heart pendant with an angel, and just had to have it. At first I made only the necklace and later added the bracelet, but after a while I received a question about making more of them for a friend. Another friend bought the original copy, and since I really liked the necklace myself I made a new version but had to change the design since I did not have exactly the same  materials available at that time.

The original design is based on blue and silver-lined crystal seed beads and small round, heart and star shaped metal beads, and some small blue glass beads with AB finish.

For the final version of the necklace, I kept the basic design but added some cloisonne beads, faceted blue glass beads, silver-lined crystal twisted bugle seed beads, and  a heart-shaped toggle clasp.
